Songs, dances, instruments and arts marked the beginning of the last week at BFTF 2008. Now that all the Founders have left Wake Forest, there will be no more farewell conversations, tear-soaked hugs, and reluctant goodbyes - at least until the reunion next summer. (more…)

Instead, the fellows will stay another night at Wake Forest in order to catch another flight tomorrow. The staff and students are all pleased to be able to spend one more day together before parting ways.

The students started by quickly passing the Information Technology bill authored by the Progressive Petronian Party (PPP), which established programs for technological cooperation with Russia. The next three bills concerned the environment and energy security, none of which passed. Nevertheless, these bills were not without their ardent supports. (more…)

The students learned the hard way that compromise is not exactly easy between parties, managing to pass only one out of six bills.

Dexter, who held the position of Leader of Parliament, did an excellent job of keeping the members of parliament (MP) in line. There was no shortage of compliments from the the MPs for Dexter’s ability to run the session. “Dexter did a great job because he knows how to manage us. He is a great leader,” said Andreea, of Romania. (more…)
